She Kills Monsters | Assistant Stage Manager | Fullerton College, Fullerton, CA

For the play She Kills Monsters I have been assigned the role as an Assistant Stage Manager. My duties so far have been to set up for auditions and call backs, set-up for rehearsals, maintain a safe, fun environment for actors on stage, writing daily reports, checking-in actors, assisting the Director and Lead Stage Manager with anything that is needed for the rehearsals and upcoming production, writing blocking notes, and creating a Prompt Book.

During performances, I was assigned to be the stage left Stage Manager which I was responsible for keeping the Lead Stage Manager aware of anything happening backstage, pre-setting props for actor's use, maintain surveillance and proper use of the weapons placed on stage left, and rolling props in and out of select scenes.

Midsummer Scream | Stage Manager | Long Beach Convention Center, Long Beach, CA

For the convention Midsummer Scream I was assigned to help out in the Grand Ballroom as a Stage Manager. My duties were to clean the stage between panel presentations, set up VIP seating and escort VIP to their seats, escort celebrities and icons back to their booths after panel presentations, prepare chairs and refreshments backstage and on-stage for celebrities and guest in different panel presentations such as:

  • The Queen Mary's Dark Harbor

  • Knott's Scary Farm

  • Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group

  • Universal Studios Hollywood Halloween Horror Nights

Ordinary Days | Props/Deck Crew | Saddleback College, Mission Viejo, CA

For the musical Ordinary Days I was assigned two assignments such as being part of Deck Crew and Prop Crew. For Deck Crew responsibilities, I would make sure that the stage and surrounding area of the stage was swept, dry mopped, and mopped to ensure the studio theatre and stage was cleaned and safe for the performers and audience. I was also responsible for making sure actors were in places at the top of the show and being in communication with the Stage Manager and Assistant Stage Manager. At the end of the show, I would make sure the house and stage was clean of any debris or trash and ready for the next day.

For the Prop Crew responsibilities, I was responsible for making sure performers had their props set up for top of show and that props were in good, safe conditions for use before and after each performance.

She Kills Monsters | Spot Light Operator | Saddleback College, Mission Viejo, CA

For the play She Kills Monsters I was assigned the assignment to be a Spot light Operator. My responsibilities for Spot light Operator involved me of knowing how to properly operate a spot light, know the cues of when to turn it on and follow a certain character on stage, and control the sizing of the lighting frame.
